Electric cabling stolen from Gloucester building site

A "substantial" amount of electric cabling has been stolen from a building site in Gloucester city centre.

The cabling was removed from several machines inside a fenced compound on Worcester Street, near the junction to Black Dog Way.

A police spokesman said the theft had taken place between 2300 BST on Friday and 0645 BST on Monday.

Worcester Street has been closed for nine months whilst Severn Trent Water improves drainage in the area.
