Forest of Dean burglar tells victim to lock door
A burglar told his elderly victim to "lock the door behind him" as he made off with her money.
The 73-year-old victim was asleep when she was disturbed by the thief searching her house in Cinderford in the Forest of Dean on Friday.
He asked her for money and went downstairs with her. She gave him £100.
The theft happened soon before 0300 BST in Woodville Road. Police said the man's actions were "shameless".
Officers are linking the burglary with one at another house on Woodville Road and a burglary at a petrol station in Cinderford High Street during the same night.
The burglar is described as a young white man with a thin face.
He was wearing a blue t-shirt and a cream duffle coat with the hood up.
Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information.
