Cheltenham's new All Saints' Academy building complete

Building work on the new £24m All Saints' Academy in Cheltenham has been finished on time and on budget.

The developers will hand over the keys later for the main building, sports facilities and classroooms, so it can be made ready for the new school year.

Principal Peter Kingham said it was a "historical moment" and Friday would be a day to walk the school, take in the final finish and celebrate.

The academy will specialise in science, sport and religious education.

In January, a traditional "topping out" ceremony was held as construction reached the top of the building on the site of the former Kingsmead School.
