Photos released of Gloucester's most wanted 'rioters'

Photographs of people police want to trace in connection with last week's disorder in Gloucester have been released.

Disturbances took place in the city centre on Tuesday night and police officers came under attack from youths throwing rocks and bottles.

Pictures of the "most wanted" suspects have been put on the Gloucestershire Police website.

Anyone who recognise a suspect has been urged to contact the force.

Assistant Chief Constable Ivor Twydell said: "The people of Gloucestershire have already shown that they share our commitment to bringing the individuals involved in last week's disorder to justice by calling us with information.

'Before the courts'

"That's why we are continuing to ask for their help by releasing images of those we want to identify. Take a good look at these pictures - if you recognise anyone tell us who they are.

"It will be with your help that we are able to track them down, arrest them and put them before the courts. If you see your own pictures amongst these photos then know it is only a matter of time before we find and arrest you."

Among the pictures are images of people suspected of breaking into King Convenience Store in Tredworth, police said.

The phone numbers to call are 0800 056 0146 or 0207 158 0198 between 08:00 and 20:00 BST.

Information can also be given anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Anyone who identifies any of the suspects should quote the relevant reference number which can be found on the Gloucestershire Police website.

Police say the investigation into the disturbances in the city is continuing. So far 20 arrests have been made.
