Stolen items returned to doorstep after Newent burglary
A man whose home was burgled has had many of the items stolen returned to his doorstep.
Police were called to the address in Culver Street, Newent, Gloucestershire, on 12 August after the 24-year-old victim reported the theft.
He later found many of the items taken had been returned to his home.
"A credit card taken from his wallet was later used in nearby Ross-on-Wye to withdraw £200," a Gloucestershire Police spokesman said.
It is believed the offender entered the house through an insecure window sometime between 07:00 and 16:50 BST on Friday.
Electrical equipment, cigarettes and a wallet were taken in the burglary.
Officers urged anyone with information to contact them.
