Man arrested in Copenhagen over slavery claim
A man from Gloucestershire has been arrested abroad on suspicion of conspiracy to commit slavery.
The 19-year-old, from Staverton, was arrested on Tuesday in Copenhagen by Danish police acting on a European arrest warrant.
His arrest is part of an operation by Gloucestershire Police into slavery, servitude and forced labour.
The police said the operation had uncovered people working in manual labour for little, if any, money.
In March, four arrests were made in Staverton, Leicestershire and Derbyshire after 20 people, forced to work as slaves, were rescued.
