Two more people charged over Gloucester disorder

Two more people have been charged in connection with disorder that broke out in Gloucester this month.

A 26-year-old Gloucester man has been charged with violent disorder and is due to appear before Stroud magistrates via video link on 14 September.

A boy, 15, is accused of burglary and has been bailed to appear at Gloucester Youth Court on 15 September.

Thirty people have been arrested in connection with the disturbances on 9 August.

On Wednesday, a 16-year-old boy from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and is currently in police custody.

During the disturbances, looting took place and shop windows were smashed in the city centre.

Gloucestershire Police officers also came under attack from youths throwing rocks and bottles.
