Royal theme for new cul-de-sacs in Cheltenham

Tenants of a Cheltenham-based housing association are being asked to approve four new street names chosen in a competition.

St Pauls residents were invited to name the new cul-de-sacs being built as part of the area's regeneration, using the Queen's Diamond Jubilee as a theme.

The four street names put forward were Windsor Close, Queens Close, Diamond Close and Jubilee Close.

Once approved by tenants the names will be officially registered.

Cheltenham Borough Homes has been involved with the Transforming St Pauls project since 2005.

As part of the regeneration, work has started to improve 78 existing homes and 48 affordable homes are being built within the new cul-de-sacs which will be located in the Manser, Hudson and Hanover Street area.

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee takes place in 2012 including an official Jubilee Weekend on 2-5 June.
