Lorry's window smashed by stone throw from M50 bridge

A lorry driver escaped unhurt after his window was smashed by a large stone which had been thrown from a motorway bridge in Gloucestershire.

Police said the driver, who was heading to Ross-on-Wye on the M50, saw three or four youths on a bridge near Dymock.

A stone was then thrown which smashed the window of the cab of the 18-tonne lorry.

Officers said the incident, which took place on Friday, could have resulted in injury.

They have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
