Pet owl exits Gloucestershire home through open window

The owners of a hand-reared barn owl are appealing for help to find it after it escaped through an open window at their home.

John and Lisa Dowding lost Twig from their home at Hucclecote on Saturday.

Mrs Dowding, whose husband works at the International Centre for Birds of Prey (ICBP) in Newent, said Twig would probably stay local and may respond to whistling.

Anyone who sees the 12-week-old owl is being asked to contact the ICBP.
