Man charged after Gloucestershire village disturbance

A 52-year-old man has been charged after a disturbance in Gloucestershire led to a street being evacuated.

Police were called to a house in Main Street, Willersey, on Sunday where a man was threatening to harm himself.

A man has been charged with affray, threatening to damage property and two counts of assault.

He handed himself to police after speaking to negotiators. He will appear before Cheltenham magistrates.
