White lines scam targets schools in Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire schools are being warned not to accept untrue offers of "left-over" road paint.

Gloucestershire County Council said several schools had been approached by traders claiming to be working for the Highways Department.

Posing as highways officials the firm offers to mark out car parks and driveways with surplus paint.

Trading Standards said it was a "common ploy to make customers think they are getting a bargain".
