Cirencester pensioner killed in Stroud head-on crash

A 76-year-old woman has been killed and her husband seriously injured in a head-on collision in Stroud.

The Cirencester couple were driving between Rodborough Hill and The Hithe on Sunday evening when their Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with a VW Golf.

The man, 81, and his wife, who was the passenger, were taken to Cheltenham General where she died. The driver and passenger of the other car were unhurt.

Gloucestershire Police are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
