Cheltenham man dies after car hits Charlton Kings wall

A 78-year-old man from Cheltenham has died after the car he was driving hit a wall in Gloucestershire.

The collision occurred at the Six Ways traffic light junction of the A40 London Road and Copt Elm Road in Charlton Kings on Wednesday.

The man, who was driving a green Renault Laguna, was treated at the scene then taken to Cheltenham General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His wife, 78, who was a passenger, was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
