Gloucestershire drink-drive campaign: Fourteen arrested

Fourteen people have been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving during the first week of Gloucestershire Police's Christmas crackdown.

Of those, eight have been charged and are due to appear before magistrates.

A force spokesman said officers would continue to operate random roadside checks in addition to testing anyone involved in a collision.

In the same time period last year 10 people were arrested - down from 18 in 2009.
