Gloucester woman injured after being trapped by bus

An 87-year-old woman has been injured after being trapped between a bus and a bus shelter in Gloucester.

It happened in Clarence Street at 12:15 GMT. The fire service, ambulance service and police were all called out.

Police said the woman, who is from the city, has been taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with leg injuries which are thought to be "life changing".

An investigation has been launched and police have appealed for any witnesses to the incident to get in touch.
