Fifteen firefighters rescue dog from Gloucester Docks
Fifteen firefighters were sent to rescue a young dog from the water at Gloucester Docks.
A concerned boat owner spotted the Alsatian in the water at about 23:00 GMT on Wednesday, the fire service said.
A boat and crew of seven from Gloucester and eight firefighters and a boat from Tewkesbury were dispatched.
The crews were unable to trace the dog's owner and it was handed to the Gloucester dog warden.
It was taken to the Gloucestershire Animal Welfare Association in Cheltenham.
An association spokeswoman said the pet, which was thought to have slipped out of its collar, had been reunited with its owner.
