Cotswold District Council holds survey on shopping

People in the Cotswolds have been asked to divulge their shopping habits in a district council survey on retailing.

The study is to help Cotswold District Council shape future retail development for the next 19 years, until 2031.

Forward planning manager Chris Vickery said: "We always appreciate it when residents give up their valuable time to share their views which, in turn, will influence our future plans."

A telephone survey of 1,100 local residents will also take place.

"The telephone survey will be completely random and has been designed to exclude retail businesses so that we can focus on shoppers," added Mr Vickery.

All the information will be used to help draft the council's Local Development Framework Core Strategy, which will also go out to public consultation later in the year.
