Gloucestershire Police lift leave ban after cull axed

Gloucestershire Police have lifted a ban on staff taking leave before Christmas, following the postponement a badger cull.

Police officers and staff were under a leave embargo.

It was put in place when it was announced that there was to be a cull on badgers in parts of Gloucestershire.

However the Environment Secretary Owen Paterson told Parliament on Tuesday that the planned cull had been postponed until next summer.
