Gloucestershire murder inquiry after groin injury death
A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of another man in Cirencester.
Police attended a property on Watermoor Road, close to the junction with Queen Street, at 01:00 GMT where a 45-year-old was found with groin injuries.
He was given treatment by ambulance crews but his health deteriorated rapidly and he died at 01:15 GMT.
The 42-year-old, from the town, remains in police custody and a murder investigation has been launched.
A post-mortem examination revealed the victim died from a single puncture wound to the groin.
