Tredworth brothers' shooting: Five arrested

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of two brothers in a gun attack.

The brothers, aged 46 and 47, were shot through the front door of a house in Falkner Street, Tredworth, Gloucester, at about 04:15 BST on Tuesday.

They are believed to be the victims of mistaken identity.

The arrests, involving armed police, were made in Barton Street and on the A38 in Quedgeley on Saturday.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: "Three Gloucester men aged 29, 26 and 21, a 27-year-old man from Cheltenham, and an 18-year-old man of no fixed abode, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

"They remain in police custody at this time."

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information on the whereabouts of a white Ford Transit van with registration number MV52 ZZN.
