Man dies in M5 motorway crash in Gloucestershire

A man has died after the car he was driving left the carriageway on the M5 in Gloucestershire.

Gloucestershire Police were alerted to the crash between junction 11A at Hardwick and junction 12 near Quedgeley, at about 03:30 GMT.

A spokesman said one car was involved, but a lorry spilt fuel after hitting debris from the crash.

The road was closed until about 11:00 GMT while an investigation was carried out.
