Farnborough man killed when van hits tree on A429 near Northleach

A 37-year-old man from Hampshire died when the van he was driving left the road and hit a tree.

The crash happened on the A429 near Northleach, Gloucestershire, late on Monday.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said the victim, who lived in Farnborough, died at the scene.

"Anyone who saw the white Transit at about 11.35pm between Northleach roundabout and Stow, is asked to contact police," he added.

The road was closed for six hours while collision investigators examined the scene.
