Motorcyclist dies in accident near Lower Apperley

A motorcyclist died when his bike left the road, Gloucestershire police said.

The 35-year-old man from Newent was pronounced dead at the scene near Lower Apperley just after 14:30 BST on Monday.

A second motorcyclist was riding with him but was not involved in the accident, police said.

The road was closed for more than three hours to allow paramedics and crews from two helicopters to attend the accident.
