Mark Dodd in court after man stabbed and run over in Gloucester

A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a man who was stabbed and run over in Gloucester.

Mark Dodd, 49, from Coopers Edge in Gloucester, appeared before magistrates in Cheltenham. He did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody.

A 44-year-old man was stabbed and struck by a car in Pembury Road on Monday. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The accused will appear at Gloucester Crown Court on 6 February.
