Cyclist killed in lorry crash on A40 near Gloucester

A cyclist has been killed in a crash on the A40 Golden Valley bypass between Gloucester and Cheltenham.

Gloucestershire Police said the 43-year-old man from Gloucester was involved in a collision involving several cars and a lorry.

It happened on the westbound carriageway near junction 11 of the M5 at about 22:00 GMT on Monday.

The road was closed for about seven hours while police carried out investigations at the scene.
