Gloucester man admits stabbing and running over man

A man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder after another man was stabbed and run over in Gloucester, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

Mark Andrew Dodd, 49, from Coopers Edge, Gloucester, appeared before Gloucester Crown Court earlier.

The victim, a 44-year-old man from the city, was stabbed and struck by a car in Pembury Road on Monday, 5 January.

Sentencing is due to take place on 23 February and Dodd was remanded in custody.
