Churchdown man jailed for six years for abducting girl

A man has been jailed for six years after admitting abduction and sexual activity with a child.

Davinder Singh, of Churchdown, Gloucester pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced at Taunton Crown Court on Monday.

Singh met a 13-year-old girl through the social messaging app Kik in May 2014 where they exchanged messages before swapping mobile phone numbers.

After she was reported missing the pair were found together in Swindon.
