Boy, 15 and man, 42, arrested over Cheltenham street stabbing

A 15-year-old boy and a man, 42, have been arrested after a man was hit with a baseball bat and stabbed.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was assaulted on Grosvenor Street in Cheltenham on Friday. He was taken to hospital but has been allowed home.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and granted bail.

The 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He has been bailed but told to report back to police on 15 June.

Two 12-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of GBH on Friday.

One of the 12-year-olds has been released and police said no further action will be taken.

The others have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
