Not guilty plea to Stroud nightclub killing

A 29-year-old man has denied killing a soldier outside a nightclub.

Jack Mitchell, 24, a gunner at Larkhill Camp in Wiltshire, died outside the Warehouse nightclub in Stroud, in Gloucestershire, in the early hours of 5 February.

At Gloucester Crown Court, Jake Davies, from Bowbridge Lock, Stroud, pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.

The case has been transferred to Bristol Crown Court and Mr Davies is due to appear on Monday.
