Man charged over Gosport street stabbing

A 45-year-old has been charged after a man was stabbed in a Hampshire street.

Paramedics were called after the 34-year-old suffered injuries in Prideaux-Brune Avenue, Gosport, on Sunday.

The 45-year-old man, of Prideaux-Brune Avenue, has been charged with wounding with intent and was due to appear before magistrates in Portsmouth.

The injured man was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital where his condition has been described as serious but stable.
