Woman charged after Southampton pedestrian death crash

A woman has been charged with causing death by careless driving after an 86-year-old pedestrian died in a collision in Southampton.

Lily Doudic was struck by a Vauxhall Vectra, travelling along the A3024 Bursledon Road, towards the city on 21 April.

She was at the junction near KFC and The Range shop when the accident happened and she died at the scene.

The 48-year-old woman charged over her death has been bailed until 12 October.
