Man charged over Isle of Wight fight stabbing

A teenager has been charged over a knife attack after a fight in the Isle of Wight involving a group of youths.

A 16-year-old boy suffered knife wounds to his back during the stabbing in Gort Road, East Cowes, and an 18-year-old man was assaulted on Friday evening.

An 18-year-old man from Collingwood Road, Newport, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

He will appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court later.

A 16-year-old who was also arrested has been released on bail until April.
