Death of man in Hampshire village 'not suspicious'

The death of a man in his 60s who was found in a Hampshire village was not suspicious, police have said.

A member of the public raised the alarm on Monday after finding the body at Minchens bridge in Minchens Lane, Bramley, north of Basingstoke.

Police initially treated the death as unexplained but said a post-mortem revealed no suspicious circumstances.

Officers have declined to release the cause of death until they have spoken to the man's family.

A file is being prepared to be passed to the coroner ahead of an inquest.
