Man dies hitting wrong-way driver on dual carriageway

A man who died when his car hit another vehicle which was travelling the wrong way on a dual carriageway has been named by police.

Neil Alexander Colquhoun, 28, from Hook, was killed in the crash on the the A30 at Old Basing on Friday.

His Vauxhall was overtaking a BMW on the eastbound carriageway when it hit a Volvo travelling in the wrong direction and burst into flames.

The driver and passenger of the Volvo, both aged 89, were seriously injured.

The man and woman remain in hospital.

The driver of the BMW was not injured.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
