Men arrested following Portsmouth ear biting assault

Two men have been arrested following an assault on a man who was punched and had part of his ear bitten off.

The 36-year-old victim was in a shelter near the Pyramids complex in Portsmouth when the incident happened on Friday, 8 April at about 1700 BST.

A 20-year-old was questioned by police on suspicion of attempted wounding and an 18-year-old on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Both suspects have been bailed until 5 July pending further enquiries.
