Hampshire driver dies in hospital a month after collision
An 80-year-old man who was critically hurt in a three-car crash in Hampshire has died in hospital.
Ronald Birch, of Whitchurch, sustained extensive chest injuries when his BMW was in collision with a Vauxhall Vectra and a Mercedes C180.
He was treated at the scene on the B3400 outside Arbory residential home at Andover Down on 5 March but died in hospital on 12 April.
The two other drivers were arrested and released on bail.
A 51-year-old man from Eastleigh was held on suspicion of driving without due care and attention.
A 40-year-old Andover man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, as well as driving without insurance and while over the legal alcohol limit.
