Dorset driver dies nine days after New Forest crash

A man has died in hospital nine days after his car overturned on a road in the New Forest.

The 71-year-old, from Verwood, Dorset, was driving a Vauxhall Astra along an unnamed rural road between Cadmans Pool and Ocknell Plain on 17 April.

He lost control while negotiating a left-hand bend and the car left the road and overturned.

The man was taken to Southampton General Hospital but he was pronounced dead on Tuesday.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
