Southampton Airport reveals five new European routes

Southampton Airport has revealed five new European routes for holidaymakers over the summer months.

Flights to the French destinations of Beziers, Clermont-Ferrand and Pau, operated by Flybe, will be available later this month.

Passengers will also be able to travel to the Spanish island of Menorca for the first time as Thomas Cook starts a new summer route from 29 May.

Eastern Airways has also announced a route to Dijon, France, from 6 June.

It takes the number of destinations to 49 offered from the south coast airport.

Jan Halliday, from Southampton Airport, said: "The start of five new routes and a new operator joining the airport is fantastic news for the region and shows the summer holiday season is really getting under way now."
