Police name New Forest death crash teenager

A 17-year-old girl who died in hospital after a collision in the New Forest has been named by police.

Esther Walters, 17, from Sandleheath, Fordingbridge, was the front seat passenger in a car which span out of control in Godshill on Thursday night.

She was seriously injured in the crash, which happened on the B3078 at about 2330 BST, and died in Salisbury District Hospital on Friday evening.

A 17-year-old male passenger in the car suffered serious spinal injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
