Woman punched after refusing to kiss man in Aldershot

A woman needed stitches after being punched in the face for refusing to kiss a man who stopped her in a Hampshire street.

The 23-year-old was walking home in Aldershot at about 0115 BST on Friday after a night out when the stranger stopped her in Victoria Road.

Hampshire Constabulary said the woman sustained a deep cut above her eye.

The man is described as white, in his early to mid 20s, about 5ft 6in tall, of slim build with short black hair.

He was wearing a dark-coloured shirt with the sleeves rolled up, blue jeans, and black smart shoes.

Pc Luke Hyder said: "This was a nasty assault and it happened when the town centre was still very busy with people leaving pubs."
