Four arrests in Southampton over suspected £1m tax fraud

Four people have been arrested in Southampton over a suspected £1m income tax fraud.

The three men and one woman were arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of money laundering offences and conspiracy to cheat the revenue.

HM Revenue and Customs said those arrested were a 39-year-old Georgian man, two Lithuanian men, aged 22 and 35, and a 43-year-old Lithanian woman.

All have been released on bail until 15 December.
