Man killed in roundabout crash near Southampton named

A 30-year-old man who died after he lost control of his car at a motorway roundabout near Southampton has been named by police.

Jason Dollard was driving a BMW that came off the road at the roundabout junction of the A3057 and M271.

The car ended up down an embankment following the crash on 6 August.

Mr Dollard, of Greenwood Avenue, Southampton, was released from the car by firefighters but died from his injuries after arriving at hospital.

Sgt Andy Lynch, from Hampshire Police, said: "We understand Jason had been out with friends in Southampton and was driving home.

"I'd like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw the vehicle, registration number KC57 XBT, driving through Southampton."
