Two men arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash in Hampshire have been released on bail.

Jack Bland, 19, died after he was hit by a car as he was walking on the unlit A287, near Odiham, in heavy rain during the early hours of Sunday.

He was discovered by a passer-by and was taken to hospital with serious injuries but he later died.

Two 19-year-olds from Alton and Hook, arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, have been bailed until 14 December.

Mr Bland, from Odiham, was walking between Crondall and the start of the Odiham bypass between 02:30 BST and 03:30 BST when the incident happened.

The car then continued towards Odiham without stopping, police said.

Hampshire Constabulary is continuing to appeal for witnesses.
