Man partially blinded in Portsmouth egg attack

A man has been left partially blind after being hit by an egg thrown from a passing vehicle in Portsmouth.

The 30-year-old victim was walking along Hampshire Terrace when the incident happened between 20:20 and 21:00 BST on 27 September.

The man suffered permanent damage to his left eye in the attack.

PC Lucy Allan said: "Those that committed this crime may have thought it was a silly prank, but this has had a detrimental effect on his life."
