Portsmouth Harbour ferry fall police discover body

A body has been found on a Hampshire beach a day after a man fell from a ferry in Portsmouth Harbour.

The discovery was made by a dog walker on Hayling Beach at about 14:45 BST.

Officers, coastguards and lifeboat crews searched the harbour on Sunday after a man fell from the Fishbourne to Portsmouth Wightlink ferry.

Police are working to establish the identity of the body. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage, officers said.
