Southampton man denies sending Facebook riot messages

A mechanic from Southampton has denied using messages on Facebook to incite violent disorder during last summer's riots in England.

Mitchel Stancombe, of Kingsley Gardens, denied the allegation under section 44 of the Serious Crime Act 2007.

The 20-year-old was released on bail after pleading not guilty at Southampton Crown Court.

His case has been listed for trial at Southampton Crown Court for the week starting 27 February.
