A main route in Hampshire was closed all day after about 80 litres of diesel were spilled in a crash involving a car and a lorry.

The A338 north of Ringwood had to be resurfaced after the fuel melted part of the road surface.

The vehicles collided on the Hucklesbrook bend just before 07:00 GMT. No-one was seriously hurt.

A diversion through Godshill, Bramshaw and Cadnam on to the A31 was set up, Hampshire County Council said.
