Family cat on Portland 'brutally' decapitated

A cat has been found "brutally" decapitated on Portland in Dorset.

The family pet, named Harry, was discovered by a resident on Tuesday morning along St Martin's Road in the Underhill area of the island.

PC Jamie Heath said: "This is a despicable act of cruelty which has left Harry's owners distraught."

Sgt Sam Goom said: "This is a very unusual incident and very distressing for the owners."
