The A31 in Hampshire has re-opened westbound following a collision involving two lorries.

Police said the crash, which caused a substantial oil spill, happened just after 05:00 GMT near junction one of the M27 at Stoney Cross.

The road was closed for more than five hours causing lengthy delays to motorists during the rush hour.

It is believed both the lorry drivers involved escaped without major injuries.
